SERVICE TIMES We have three Sunday morning worship services: Our traditional service starts at 9:45am and is located in the sanctuary. Our celebration service (more of a blended style) starts at 11:00am and is also located in our sanctuary. The third service is our Contemporary service which meets in the Life Center at 11:00am. With all three services we hope that you can find a place where you feel comfortable to worship. In all three services you will hear the same relevant message. BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP Sunday mornings provide opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship through Bible Study Fellowship. Bible Study Fellowship consists of small groups who gather to learn God’s Word using age-appropriate materials. There are a variety of BSF classes offered for every age group. BSF is offered at both 8:30am and 9:45am on Sundays. OUR BELIEFS Mt. Airy Baptist Church is associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The SBC is a group of churches that pool their resources to fund and support the ongoing work of the Gospel. OUR VISION The Great Commission outlines the mission of a healthy church: 1. We believe that Jesus is in charge, and that the Church belongs to Him. Therefore, He determines the agenda for the Church. His agenda is that we would “go and make disciples of all nations.” 2. Therefore, our church exists for those who are not yet part of God’s family. 3. Our task is to lead people to become fully committed followers of Jesus. 4. When Jesus referred to “all nations” He was simply pointing out that the mission of the church extends to everybody everywhere. There is no ethnic boundary, and there is no national boundary. Our church must have a global scope and a heart for people who are far from God. DISCOVER MT. AIRY Discover Mt. Airy is a class designed to explain who we are and what we are about. Highlighted topics include: our spiritual foundations, our strategic focus, and our ministry structure, as well as an introduction to our staff and church campus. We encourage anyone new to Mt. Airy to attend, whether or not you are planning to join the church. Sessions are offered approximately every seven weeks. A light meal and optional childcare are included with each session.
